Sunday Serenade is one of the Periodicals here at GTG, which we decided to start up because of our love for Asian music.
What we do for Sunday Serenade is simple: we recommend music videos for you to watch (three at a time). Our main goal is to develop everyone’s vocabulary in Asian music, showcasing videos from all over (including Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, etc). We will show videos both new and old. Basically, we want to make an Asian music fan out of you.
That being said, let’s get jamming!
This week’s Sunday Serenade: Give it your BAP!

When BAP comes to mind, what do you think of? Epic dancing? Powerful vocals? Hardcore rapping? Heavy beats?
What about a happy go-lucky atmosphere? Cutesy gestures? … No?
Well, that’s what makes BAP so good – the talent to adapt to any situation, or in this case, any beat and give it their “Best Absolute Perfect”.
Let’s start this off with a song about loneliness and heartbreak…
The emotions displayed in this MV really contribute to the sorrowful lyrics. Add smoothness to their harmonious and synchronised backing vocals, and you get one dramatic song.
Now we can proceed to turn that sorrow into anger with the song that started it all. The slamming beats equipped with powerful and solid dance moves show just how much BAP can blow us away with.
Lastly, we have some unexpected moods BAP can give us – Happy, cute, and sweet.
Even Bang Yong Guk’s deep rapping voice fits perfectly to the tune. The bright colours, clothing and the adorable smiles of the members are sure to change your idea of BAP. It certainly did for me.
Stay tuned next week for more awesome jams!
