GTG Events

Hey GTGers! If you’re looking to find out what the staff has been doing to promote Green Tea Graffiti, this is the place you’ll find it! Recently, Green Tea Graffiti has promoted itself at multiple conventions in California and Texas! Below, you’ll find links to pictures, interviews, and some thoughts about our ventures into the Asian pop culture FANdemonium !

Fanime 2010 - May 28-31st, 2010; San Jose, CA

Summer is almost here and what better way to kick things off than to hit up a big con? While the CEO decided to adventure in far away Seoul for business, many of the GTG crew will be there. The art director, NikkieCole, will be showing off the new GTG magazine. Editor in Chief Frank will also present a panel on Korea music. Look for GTG to bring the Summer 'sizzle' at the con!

Animation on Display (AOD) – January 30th and 31st, 2010; San Francisco, CA

The Founders are back at it again! This time, rather than hosting a promotional table, the CEO and the Editor in Chief decide to run a panel on the Hallyu Wave! With all of the panels that AoD offered, the con proved to be very informative and engaging! As Kintaro Oe (of Goldenboy fame) would say, it was, “Very educational!”

Sac Anime Convention – January 8-10th, 2010; Sacramento, CA

The adventures of the Green Tea Graffiti staff continue as CEO Jangta and co-founders Coopa, Frank, Jonas and Nikkie Cole parse through the bustling crowds for future GTGers! Pictures, Interviews with voice actors Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham, as well as a little bit of social commentary highlight the California staff’s first encounter with the website’s Home City!

Coopa's interview:    Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham!

Yule Con – November, 20th, 2009; Dallas, Texas

Hannah, GTG’s first Korean movie writer, reaches out into the Japanese Music industry as she interviews Arizona-based Japanese band, Toybox! Also included: pictures, a review of the convention, and anecdotes involving certain members of the cosplay community extending a little more than “Southern Hospitality” our writer’s way! You get ‘em, Hannah!
