Page 6 confirmed the split on Monday, and a source told us that the two – who had been together for almost a year – had been in “different places” in their lives. Another source has further stated that the separation was due to children. “He would not commit to having more children,” said the insider. “She is in her 30s. It was a deal breaker. ”
The 48-year-old Affleck has three children – Violet (14), Seraphina (11) and 8-year-old Samuel – with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. De Armas, 32, has no children.
Another source close to the couple explains, “Ben is unable to raise a new family. Both he and Ana have three jobs in a row. His family has and will continue to be his focus. ”
While we’ve been told the decision to break up was mutual, friends think the couple may not be done forever. “You could get back together,” said a source. “You’re in love. People who know you believe it’s only temporary.”
The two first met on the set of their thriller “Deep Water” and as reported by Page SixLast March they enjoyed a romantic trip to Havana. They have since been spotted in paparazzi pictures on dog walks and coffee in LA.
But after quarantining them together, they took a trip home to visit the family, which sparked excitement that the relationship was on the rocks.
