Cyber Monday TV Deals: Best deals from Samsung, LG, Vizio, TCL and more

This story is part of Christmas gift guide 2020, CNET’s gift selection with expert advice, reviews, and recommendations on the latest tech gifts for you and your family.

Cyber Monday TV deals are here and they’re coming in hot. If you have a new television on your shopping list, you’ve come to the right place. Early sales at Best buy, Walmart, target and Amazon saw that most of the best deals sold out quickly and inventory is now pretty thin, especially with popular brands like Sony, LG, Samsung, Vizio, and TCL. However, retailers sometimes hold inventory to revive the sales pool and great deals are regularly re-stocked. That said, if you don’t see a TV deal you want, it may be worth waiting until actual Cyber Monday (November 30th) to see if the model is back in stock.

Now, when you’re ready to pull the trigger, we’ve rounded up our favorite TV deals from the most popular retailers. You can still find plenty of discounted models in all sizes, with the small ones going for just $ 100 and $ 65-inches little than $ 250. And most of them are smart TVs, many of which are running Roku, Android TV, or Amazon Fire TV operating systems.

If you are looking for a cheap TV, Here’s a quick cheat sheet of what we would call a “bargain” for any popular screen size this season::

  • 32 inches for $ 120
  • 40 to 43 inches for $ 150
  • 50 inches for $ 300
  • 55 inches for $ 350
  • 65 inches for $ 500
  • 75 inches for $ 700

The prices above are for televisions that we at CNET don’t normally rate. We don’t review them as their image quality is basically the same: mediocre, but possibly good enough for most people. Expect to pay hundreds more for it better televisions.

Our favorite TV listings are curated below and we are constantly updating the list. Full disclosure, a lot of these deals were Black Friday deals that went through Cyber Monday, but we’re putting the latest deals at the top. Also note that these offers are always in flux and this article will be updated regularly to reflect new, better offers and expired discounts.

Cyber Monday 2020: The best TV deals currently available

Best buy

How does an 82-inch Samsung pack you? No, we haven’t tested this model yet, but if you’re a Samsung fan and want the absolute biggest screen you can get for your money, this will be hard to beat.

part of Walmarts sale on November 25thThis TV was also available at Best Buy for the same price – until it sold out online. It’s not the cheapest TV on the market this size, and we expect models like that Vizio M series (with local dimming) to get better performance but if you like Samsung brand this is a very good price.

Are you looking for a dirt cheap mid-size TV? This scepter fits the bill. It has 4K resolution, but its picture quality is likely far inferior to that best 55-inch modelsand it doesn’t even have a built-in smart TV so you have to consider the price of one Media streamer also (if you don’t have one yet). But this is still one of the cheapest prices we’ve seen on a TV this size, and it’s actually in stock.

Walmart has one too 55-inch version for $ 240.

This Insignia recently sold for $ 150, but Best Buy took an additional $ 50 off the price, making it significantly cheaper than the similar-sized Roku TV (see below). However, this one is one and sold out at Best Buy, which may make it easier to buy Roku online.

This is one of the best deals we’ve seen this year on a TV running the Roku operating system, which we like better than Fire TV or Android TV – although it’s a bit more expensive. This is a 1080p model, not 4K so won’t get it Roku’s AirPlay upgradeHowever, the lower resolution does not significantly affect the image quality at this size. Offers that are sold out or expired

Most of the offers below are gone, but since they can come back anytime, we’re keeping them here for now. Some of the televisions listed below may also be available at your local store, although they are sold out online.

This 55-inch version is excellent but out of stock. If you can afford it, buy this 65-inch model instead. This is the sweet spot size for the LG CX – it’s big enough to really appreciate the great picture quality.

This is simply the best deal we’ve seen so far for Black Friday 2020. Slightly smaller than the 70-inch model and much cheaper, this TV will sell out quickly as soon as it comes out. The catch? It won’t be available until Saturday, November 28th – and we expect it to sell out immediately. Best Buy Online listings typically appear on the website sometime after midnight CT (1:00 p.m. ET, 10:00 p.m. PT). Good luck!

This is a spectacular price for a 50-inch television. So expect it to sell out almost immediately.

Yes, we’ve seen 55- and even 65-inch TVs this season that sold for just $ 230-250, but they were mostly models with Android TVs. This TCL model is a 2020 update of this company’s 4 series. It has the latest Roku smart TV system – meaning you can get every channel except HBO Max, as well as the AirPlay update – and a whopping 4 HDMI inputs. And it only costs $ 30 more than the 50-inch model. The 4K image quality does not match that of the 6 series, but at this price point there is little to complain about.

We have not reviewed this set and based on its technical specifications, we do not expect it to match the image quality of the best 75 inch modelsHowever, if you prioritize an overall picture above everything else, this is the cheapest price we’ve seen for a 70-inch TV. Like the TCL, Android TV runs.

We haven’t tested this OLED yet, but we expect its image quality to be similar to that of the LG CX (as in: spectacular), and at Best Buy, the 65-inch size is currently selling at less than the CX. We’d still take the CX though, mostly because the Sony is missing cutting edge gaming extras. But if you don’t care – or if the CX is out of stock – this is an excellent deal.

One of our favorite pre-Black Friday deals for an excellent TV is back. The X900H has the best picture quality of any non-OLED TV on this list, and offers the latest in connectivity tailor-made for the new Xbox Series X and PS5.

The best TV offer at Target early Black Friday sale is on another 70-inch TV that we didn’t review. LG’s OLED devices (see below) provide a much better picture. However, if you can’t afford a better TV and the Hisense above doesn’t appeal to you, it’s still a very good price.

This listing is currently out of stock online but may be available at your local store.

David Katzmaier / CNET

The best TV we’ve ever seen is in a whole different league than the bouncers on this list, and this is the best price of the year. We don’t expect it to go down too much this year, but even if it does, the drop in prices won’t be massive.

This television is the first item listed on Walmart’s November 11th Pre-Black Friday ad. So we expected it to sell out quickly. The retailer’s Onn house brand isn’t known for their world’s best image quality, but we expect it to work about as well as the TCL 4 series (see below) and have the same great Roku operating system.

Speaking of TCL, this is the best price we’ve seen on a 55-inch TV this year. It’s basically the same as that 55S425 We liked it so much, for about half the lowest price of this model. Just like with Onn TV above, we expect it to sell out quickly.
