Veteran wide recipient Kenny Golladay allegedly agreed to a contract with the New York Giants.

According to NFL Network’s Ian RapoportGolladay agreed to a four-year $ 72 million contract that is guaranteed to be $ 40 million.

The 27-year-old was excellent in good health and posted career numbers in 2019 (65 catches for 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns). It was his second straight season with more than 1,000 receiving yards. However, he was limited to just five games in 2020 and scored 20 receptions for 338 yards and two points.

Even so, along with names like JuJu Smith-Schuster, Will Fuller V, and Corey Davis, Golladay made it into the off-season as one of the best free agent receivers available.

There was always the possibility that the Lions could have beaten Golladay with the franchise tag, but if they didn’t, it seemed likely that he would sign elsewhere.

The northern Illinois product isn’t one of the most elite recipients in the NFL, but it’s a real number one in its prime. New York was frequent connected to Golladay since last season’s close of trading.

If Golladay stays healthy in 2021, he could be one of the really impactful newcomers this off-season.

In New York, he will fill the # 1 receiver void left by Odell Beckham Jr. when it went public Cleveland Browns. Suddenly Daniel Jones has a dangerous collection of guns running back Saquon Barkley, Golladay, Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard, as well as Evan Engram.
