Thirteen people at a COVID-19 vaccination site in Colorado experienced side effects to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Wednesday – they ceased operations for the day, a report said.
The officials did not disclose the reactions from which less than 1 percent of the 1,700 people at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City were shot. The Denver Gazette reported.
The vaccination effort was sponsored by the state and Centura Health. More than 600 people with appointments on Wednesday were unable to get their vaccinations after the early closure.
“We followed our protocols and carefully made the decision to work with the state to suspend operations for the rest of the day,” Centura Health officials said in the newspaper’s statement.
People with declined appointments will be moved to get their recordings at a different location on Sunday.
