The US case count is 16.06 million, with at least 297,818 deaths

According to the Johns Hopkins University record, the United States recorded 16,062,299 Cases of coronavirus and at least 297.818 People there died from the virus.

Johns Hopkins University took up on Saturday 219.510 new cases and 2,368 new deaths in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and other US territories and repatriation cases.

Saturday was that seventh day in a row that hospital admissions hit a record high with 108,487 patients in hospitals across the country Covid tracking project.

The US has added another 1 million cases in the past four days. It took the nation more than eight months to hit 8 million cases but less than two months to double that as the number of new cases continues to rise.

This dire new toll comes from an advisory committee of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention decided on Saturday to recommend the Pfizer and BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for patients aged 16 and over. The introduction of the cans will begin in the coming days.
