Rays 1-2 Dodgers, below 6th
FOX shows a replay of Betts roaming the base paths to score the outfield player’s choice (scoring a run and preventing the Rays from recording an out). Aaron Loup is about to clean up Anderson / Cash’s mess. He gets Muncy to hit a ground ball that * actually * leads to an out and eventually ends the inning.

Turner hits a long flyball and hardly misses a home run. Anderson takes out cash. That did not work.
22:29
Dodgers take the lead!
Rays 1-2 Dodgers, lower 6th.
Anderson makes Seager quit, but Betts had made it to third place on this wild field so he could score at the outfield player’s choice. An epic disaster for the rays.

Dodgers tie it up!
Rays 1-1 Dodgers, below 6th
All Snell had done that game against Betts was hit him twice. Just throw that out of there. Corey Seager is on the plate. He strikes, and then Anderson throws a pitch that the catcher cannot recover. Barnes scores in the game! Tied game!

Rays 1-0 Dodgers, below 6th
No pressure, Nick Anderson! Here Mookie Betts is on the line with the game … and hey, Betts hits a 2-0 double! Barnes has to stop in third place, but there’s only one out here! Dodger’s fans are now super loud for the first time in the entire game.
22:23
No pressure, but if the rays blow it here after taking Snell out in just 73 spaces, Kevin Cash will never live it. He is absolutely destroyed.
22:21
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, below 6th
Austin Barnes is up and he takes a hit! How bad is Barnes? Well, Kevin Cash has enough hits to instantly take the ball from Snell, despite being so dominant.
22:19
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, below 6th
Blake Snell is back. The Dodgers should try to get Snell to work and force Kevin Cash’s hand into making a change. Instead, Pollock shows up in first place, which makes very little sense.
22:17
Okay, the person with the music bumper went from the dead to the roots, which honestly makes strange sense.

Rays 1-0 Dodgers, top 6th
Here’s Joey Wendle who takes a ball and then scores two hits. 1-2. He’s just trying to protect the plate and dirtying the next playing field. Still 1-2. Gonzalez throws another field near the ground and tries to get Wendle to chase, which he doesn’t. 2-2. Then he does a mighty hack and you’ll never believe it, but he swings!
22:11
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, top 6th
Margot drops 2-0 and now Tampa Bay has to worry. Just a more run or two more could get them in the perfect position to force a game 7. But their bats have grown cold. Margot dirties another and then takes a ball. 1-2. Then he takes two ball. 2-2. He swings and misses in the next place, that’s 11th Strike accumulated by the Dodgers’ pitching staff.
22:08
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, top 6th
Victor Gonzalez is out there after his last inning. He meets Brandon Lowe, who falls 2-0. Gonzalez throws a slider-like pitch that is out of the zone. 1-2. The next pitch is also in the dirt, 2-2. Lowe then reaches for a Gonzalez square that was absolutely not where he expected it to be. One down.

I couldn’t place the last Grateful Dead track they played and I feel like I let you all down.
Twitter tells me it’s “Franklin’s Tower”.

Rays 1-0 Dodgers, bottom 5th
Chris Taylor, the game’s only Dodgers hit, is on the net. He looks at a ball that is good, and then at a stroke that is less good. 1-1. He takes another and it’s 2-1. A batsman that’s at least a moral victory considering how Snell is doing. Taylor swings at the next offer, comes up with air. 2-2. The next playing field is a low ball. A full count!
And he hits a helicopter right back at Snell. That’s five scoreless innings and the scoring.
21:59
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, bottom 5th
Cody Bellinger is next. He takes a ball and then throws a foul in the stands. 1-1. He pollutes another. 1-2. He founds a fair, but right to first. Two down. Snell makes this easy.
21:56
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, bottom 5th
Will Smith hits a Snell who offers foul. Well, you have to try something here. 0-1. He takes a pitch and then flies out of the inning for the first time.
21:53
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, top 5th
Victor Gonzalez gets his husband, however, when Meadows immediately tries to end the inning. We’re in the middle of game six, assuming it’s not about extra innings
21:50
It’s unfair to say that Dave Roberts has been questioned on this show because, honestly, most of the time, he gets guessed first.
Craig Calcaterra
(@craigcalcaterra)It was worth pulling wood.
Jesus.

Rays 1-0 Dodgers, top 5th
Randy “Raising” Arozarena, who has been here for the whole offensive so far, prevails 2-1 against Baez. He’s taking a called strike that doesn’t really look like a strike to him (or me). 2-2. Arozarena hits a high pitch for a single. That’ll do it for Baez by the looks of it.
21:45
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, top 5th
Pedro Baez is here now, a die roll for Dave Roberts. Baez makes Zunino strike. So that’s about as good as you can imagine. Choi is coming out for the second time this season, hoping you weren’t prepared for a slugfest today.
21:40
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, bottom 4th
Let’s see if Max Muncy has anything to do with Snell. He discards the first two squares, a wise movement, and then swings and the next two. It’s 2-2 like that. Snell tosses a breaking ball at the dirt, one of the few bad places in the last innings, but that doesn’t matter and Muncy joins his teammates at the Strike Out Swinging Club. It’s not very exclusive.
21:37
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, bottom 4th
Justin Turner kept going up and down. This is the eighth strike. Absolutely ridiculous game he’s playing here.
21:34
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, bottom 4th
Corey Seager is up here for the Dodgers, taking Snell to 2-2, but adding Snell to his lineup to become the seventh striker of the game for the Dodgers.
21:30
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, Top 4 ..
Alex Wood makes Kiermaier swing. If the Dodgers win this game and it’s still just one game here, this dominant performance by Wood won’t go unnoticed.
21:28
Rays 1-0 Dodgers, Top 4 ..
Wood immediately gets Wendle to focus on the second place he sees. Ray’s manager Kevin Cash is barely three words in his manager’s interview when that happens. He says Willy Adames will be helping his club soon. Adames swings out 20 seconds later.

(@llast)@ Hunterfelt I have missed you. Nice that the live blog is back! Rooting for a Dodgers Win Tonight!
We look forward to being with you all. Since the pandemic resulted in literally all sports being played at the same time, we had to choose our seats. I would have loved to blog Game 4 live, but to be honest, I’m not sure I would go to that ninth inning other than “WHAT?” or what?”

Snell accuses Betts, as you can imagine, of being a little more cautious than the number 9 hitter. Betts hits and then two balls. Then Snell throws a fastball right in the middle, Betts would love that back. 2-2. And Snell brings Mookie on strike for the second year in a row.
And the bumper music is “Sugar Magnolia”.

Austin Barnes is up, Taylor is still first. Barnes drops 2-0 almost instantly and ends up in third place. It’s an out, but Taylor is now second and it’s Mookie

AJ Pollock strikes and dirties the next playing field. He’s 0-2 down. He pollutes the next and stays alive. Snell throws you outside. 1-2. Pollock hammers the next field, but exactly at the third baseman for the second.

Chris Taylor hits a Snell missile for the first Dodgers hit of Game 6. It feels like there’s been a drought, but it’s really just the bottom of the third.
21:11
Okay, I got confirmation that the final piece of bumper music was Phish, which means I’m 100% sure now that another jam band fan is responsible for MLB on Fox’s soundtrack tonight. Maybe a Quicksilver Messenger Service next?

Will Smith, known to be known as Will Smith this postseason, is next. Here he becomes Snell’s fourth strike victim. I’m just relieved that I managed to survive this particular attack without a really bad joke from Fresh Prince.
